My name is Cat Raya and I have been making paper art since 2005. My background is in Fine Art and Biology. My work is often full of color energy and light, evoking emotion through shape texture and form. Much of the artwork is influenced by my upbringing in the Pacific Northwest and a great deal is influenced by my Native Coastal heritage. My work has been featured in museums, galleries and local coffee shops. Most recently my focus has been on creating a business incubator program that supports local Native Artists achieve their goals in art.

Corinna English is a Coast Salish artist, poet and songwriter of Quinault (enrolled) Squaxin, Chinook and Cowlitz descent, residing in the Pacific Northwest (Washington State) and sells her art while out on adventures. She received the traditional art schooling method of mentoring by dearly remembered and loved, Quinault Artist, Randy Capoeman. Corinna was born in Seattle and grew up all over the Northwest coast with her mother, grandmother's and aunt. Firsthand experience with issues that impact her tribe and family have shaped her views and passion for all tribal people's and the most vulnerable populations of all races around the globe.

Dorothy, known to the community as DJ, created a successful local retail shop selling a variety of handmade and personally designed goods. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, she was forced to close her physical shop and focus more on her online sales. She is not just a retailer, but a designer and creates custom designed products for events and groups too!

Harvest Moon is a master basket weaver and storyteller who combines her unique talents and skills to create educational lectures for people of all ages. Her presentations provide an in-depth understanding of the Coastal Salish Natives and their rich culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. Harvest Moon brings hands-on artifacts to her lectures, allowing her audience to experience firsthand how things were done in the past. Her passion for preserving the heritage of Northwest Coast Tribes has earned her numerous accolades, including serving two terms as an "Inquiry Mind" speaker for "The Washington Commission for the Humanities." She has also received grants from the Seattle Arts Commission, Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities, and the Heritage Art Council for "Artist in Residency" and "Young Audience" speaker for Portland Oregon and Southern Washington State. Harvest Moon's deep interest in history and her vast amount of research has earned her the title of a professional speaker and storyteller. She speaks from her heart and spirit, leaving her audience with a different perspective of the Northwest Coast Native Americans. Her dedication and contributions have been recognized with the "Peace and Friendship Award" presented by the Washington State Historical Society.

As a child growing up along the Quinault River, the Ranch property, we had a lot of ground to roam on and do quite a bit of exploring.  While we were out and about every day in the woods, we sampled many things nature had to offer.  We were taught how to forage the grounds from nourishing plants, shoots and berries.  As an adult, I reflect on these memories almost daily.  I took my teaching as a child and started making hand-crafted wellness products.  Handcrafted from natural and organic ingredients specifically intended for home use in overall health and wellbeing.  Nature offers many herbs, flowers, trees and plants with medicinal and holistic properties that are very beneficial to health and wellness.  I love and enjoy the harvest and preparations in making my products and the most rewarding is teaching and happy beginnings.

Jena developed a passion for sewing at a young age when her grandmother, Helen Shepard, taught her how to sew at the age of 10. She pursued her interest in the arts and humanities. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Saint Martin's College in Lacey, Washington, with a focus on art, religion, history, and political science. While at Saint Martin's, she worked as a part of the Washington Arts Commission's Folk Arts program, where she assisted in interviewing, photographing and archiving information about award recipients, their cultural celebrations and skills being passed down to younger generations. In the early 2000s, Jena worked as a costume designer for a community theatre in Olympia, Washington, where she designed costumes for various plays, including The Music Man and The Who's Tommy, for both regular and children's summer programs. She has also been exploring the history and design of Native American ribbon skirts and their cultural significance to her local community near the Quinault Nation Reservation. Jena often sells her off-the-rack designs at native festivals and powwows, but she also enjoys creating custom work for her clients.

Robin Stanley, the beloved wife of Quinault Tribal member David Stanley is a skilled and passionate artisan who specializes in creating beautiful handcrafted knitting and sewing items. Her love for textiles started in her childhood when she was taught how to knit and crochet by her grandmother. In addition, Robin has also learned the art of weaving under the guidance of the renowned weaver Beatrice Black. Robin's creations are a true testament to her skill, dedication, and love for her craft. Each piece she creates is a work of art, woven with the threads of her stories and memories. Her passion for her craft has been passed down through generations, creating a rich legacy of craftsmanship that is truly unique. It is a privilege to experience the beauty of Robin's work and the love she puts into each piece.

Jean Ramos, Quinault Tribal Elder, 66, resides in the village of Queets, WA on the Quinault Indian Reservation. Jean was a runner-up in the 2015 Washington Coast Works Sustainable Small Business Competition for her product: Tribal SovereigNDNTea. Tribal SovereigNDNTea is ancient Indigenous medicine used since time immemorial for its healing qualities: good for colds, sore throat, even helps with diabetes and is a great antioxidant. The tea is actually named Labrador tea because it was "discovered" by the colonizers on the Island of Labrador off the Canadian coast; however, it's always been medicine to us.
